How to Remove Pimples
At some point in their lives, everyone wants to know how to remove
pimples. The tactics suggested by some people could cause scarring. So,
here are the dos and don’ts of pimple care.
Don't
Don’t scratch or squeeze. This is a temptation
that everyone has difficulty with, but scratching and squeezing can cause scarring. You can use a cube of ice
or other cold compress to reduce swelling. You can use a natural antibacterial ointment like active manuka
honey to help heal the infection. But, squeezing is not a good idea.
Do
Do eat right. How would you like to never have another pimple? Eating more fruits and
vegetables could help. Taking a good dietary supplement is important, too. Junk food is bad.
Don't
Don’t use tretinoin, unless you want redness, itching
and irritation. Tretinoin is the prescription cream that some doctors recommend. Many teenagers find
that the redness caused by it is more embarrassing than a pimple.
Do
Do use a day cream containing natural antioxidants.
Tretinoin is actually a synthetic form of the antioxidant vitamin A. Natural antioxidants can work just as
well. Coenzyme Q10 is a relatively new ingredient for day creams. It may hold the key of how to remove
pimples, without causing irritation.
Don't
Don’t drink sodas. Drink plenty of plain water
instead.
Don’t over-cleanse. It has been proven that a pimple is not caused by poor hygiene.
Use a mild cleanser on a daily basis.
Do
Do remember to use a deep cleansing mask every week or two. Choose one that
contains clay extracts, allantoin and active manuka honey. Make sure that is designed specifically for a
man or a woman, depending on your sex.
Don't
Don’t use astringents containing petroleum-based
alcohols. They can cause excessive dryness.
Do
Do use a day cream or a body lotion containing natural plant extracts that help to balance
the oiliness of your skin, which is an important part of how to remove pimples and prevent them from
forming. The natural plant extracts to look for include jojoba, maracuja and Babassu.
Don't
Don’t stress. Stress can make acne
worse.
Do
Do use a non-oily concealer to cover it up. Sometimes a pimple happens at the worst of
times. You might feel strange about using a concealer if you are a guy, but if it is blended in correctly, no
one will notice that you are wearing it. Ask your sister or a female friend for advice.
Don't
Don’t use a concealer that contains petroleum based
oils. That’s not how to remove pimples and it could make them worse. Check the label of ingredients for
petrolatum, paraffin wax or mineral oil. If the concealer contains any of those, don’t use it.
Do
The last thing to do is to always use your day cream after cleansing and before makeup application. Many acne
sufferers feel that they do not need to use a moisturizer or day cream. But, if it contains the right
ingredients, it is an important part of how to remove pimples and prevent them from
forming.
